They call me “Fed.” Since day one, the sky’s been green and the grass blue. Everything is seen sideways, with hopes of a plot twist at the end of every interaction. Life’s a game. Play it. Live a little, and just let go.

The Fed
Born Federico Luis Jimenez at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx, I’ve always been the contemplative type with a smile, or smirk on my face, venturing into anything I did with an eager and optimistic point of view, from enjoying the ways of the Force known as Catholic school, all the way to moving into Landon Hall’s temporary housing as a freshman. I never even visited Ithaca. I just saw that they had Journalism, so I applied, got thrown into Television-Radio, and haven’t gotten off the roller coaster to this day.
I consider everywhere I go a different “bubble” and everything I do as part of a different “chapter.” If my calculations are correct, I’m on chapter five, with many more chapters to go. The juicy ones. All the bubbles I’ve been a part of complement each other well. My bubble in the Bronx taught me things that I can never learn in the classroom, and my bubble in Ithaca expanded my mind. As of now, my favorite bubble is Los Angeles, a not-so-near but dear city for me, where I have fully expanded my mind and utilized the abilities that I have developed, working for Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures, learning and loving the entertainment industry.
I’m a man of many tastes. I love baseball, basketball, movies, good music, fast cars, creative writing, aviator sunglasses, a good cigar, great quotes, and Jack n’ Cokes, but unfortunately I can’t rob banks like John Dillinger and Baby Face Nelson. I’ve fallen in love, fallen out of it, and traveled a bit. I’ve even been chased down a neighborhood after getting milk for the house. When a guy on the corner asks you for the time, yet he has a fresh and shiny Movado watch on, start running. I never understood why mother would send me to get groceries at 11pm.

Life is 100mph. Keep up with it!
But nonetheless, I’ve had a blast, with the smirk always on, and continue to have that urge of adventure, no matter where I am. My life’s a soundtrack, from Jay-Z, Creedance Clearance Clearwater Revival, Grand Funk Railroad, and Jimmi Hendrix, to Steve Miller Band, Talib Kweli, Lynard Skynyrd, Booker T n’ the MG’s, Jurassic 5, and the Temptations. There’s always a song playing in my head.

My Conscience.
My conscience accompanies me in my endeavors. He’s my identical twin, but he glides rides next to me on a skateboard, with giant aviators, a giant curly afro, a shotgun hanging over his shoulders, and a Big Gulp from 711. He’s my wild side, my calm side, the side that makes perfect sense, and the side that makes no sense when necessary. He knows kung-fu, and his soda never runs out. No one can see him but me. Currently, he’s next to me bobbing his head to some funky Motown, and is the foundation of Fed’s Perspective; me in the purest of form.
If you see me around Ithaca, I already smiled at you and waved. I love everything and everybody, and I’m a fan of the rant. So feel free to stop me and just … gooo.
Fed, this is so awesome you did a really good job with this page. Your conscience is quite the character. Anyway I am happy I got a chance to see you over break. Be good and I hope to see you soon.
